4-day Tour du Mont Blanc

Discover one of the most popular mountain ranges in the Alps on this 4-day hiking program in the Mont Blanc massif.

 

Situated on the border between Italy, France and Switzerland, the Mont Blanc massif is home to the highest summit in Western Europe. This massif is a wonderful place to enjoy hiking and will give us the chance to contemplate stunning alpine landscapes.
 

First of all, we’ll meet at 10 am at the Geneva International Airport or in Chamonix. Then, throughout the following days, we will explore different trails through beautiful meadows and valleys and contemplate the awe-inspiring views of the Alps. Also, we may get to see some of the region’s wildlife, such as marmots, ibex and mountain goats.  

You will find a more detailed description of the itinerary below. However, take into account that it can change according to weather conditions and the group’s level. Regarding accommodation, we’ll spend the nights in mountain refuges and guesthouses. 
 

Keep in mind that this is a challenging excursion so it is important to be physically fit and to have some prior hiking experience.

Itinerary

Day 1

 

On day 1, we’ll go to Val Ferret and admire the incredible views of Mont Blanc, Dent du Géants and the Grandes Jorasses massif. After 5 hours of hiking, we’ll reach Rifugio Elena and enjoy dinner.

Day 2

 

In the morning, we’ll start our ascent to Grand Col Ferret (2,490 meters) and get to see the amazing views of Mont Dolent. Then, we’ll descend to La Fouly village and drive to Champex, where we’ll spend the night. On this day, we’ll spend around 6 hours hiking.

Day 3

 

We have two options available for this day according to the group’s level. The most challenging option is Fenêtre d’Arpette. We can also take a less demanding route near Rhone Valley in Switzerland. Both of them will end in Trient, where we’ll spend the night. This hike will take us around 6-9 hours.

The price does not include the guide's expenses (accommodation, meals, lift tickets, etc). Charge for the transfer to Geneva Airport: 35 EUR.

Day 4

 

We’ll start our ascent to Col de Balme (2,190 meters) in the morning. Then, we’ll go to l’Aiguillette des Posettes (2,200 meters) and descend to Tré-le-Champ. After 7 hours of walking, we’ll return to Geneva or Chamonix and say goodbye.
